Eastbourne Borough Council has a range of planning policies that are used to inform decisions to approve or reject planning applications.
Government legislation has made some major changes to the way councils prepare planning policies. Local development plans will be replaced by local development frameworks (LDF), which are a collection of local planning policy documents.
We will be consulting on various development plan documents which will form part of the LDF.
Currenly we are working on the Core Strategy, Eastbourne Park Supplementary Planning Document and Town Centre Area Action Plan. We are compiling many evidence documents which together will inform a revised strategy for the future development of Eastbourne.

Until new LDF documents are adopted the current Eastbourne Borough Plan (2001-2011) policies are saved. Borough Plan policies are available to download in this section of the website.
