Donating a tree gives you the opportunity to:
-
create a long lasting tribute
-
mark a special occasion, such as a wedding or the birth of a new family member
-
remember a loved one
-
participate in the continuation of the Borough wide tree planting programme.
Donation trees enhance the town’s environment ensuring a lasting legacy for future generations.
When to Plant
We plant our trees between November to March, which allows good root establishment prior to the spring. This ensures your donated tree has the greatest chance of success.
All planted trees are on an establishment maintenance programme for two years ensuring they receive the correct maintenance and aftercare.
Where To Plant
Many areas in Eastbourne have potential planting space, including:
-
parks
-
open spaces
-

-
business areas
Some parks presently only have limited space, but spaces do become available with the removal of mature trees, so please contact the team to discuss your personal requirements.

If you require such a personal memorial we would respectfully advise you to contact Langney Cemetery, where there is an arboretum of dedicated memorial trees.
Unfortunately it is not possible to allow the fixing of plaques at any donation tree site.
Records
We will record all donations in an on-line donation book allowing you to document the location and reasons for your donation.
