Our day devoted to being a responsible dog owner on Saturday 26 September 2009 in Hampden Park, Eastbourne was a great success.
Lots of people came to meet the council's star dog Polar and Police Dog Hector, to get free Petchecks from the PDSA and lots more help and advice.

Online Art Gallery Launched on the Event Day
To tie in with the event we have launched an online picture gallery on this site, featuring every drawing from the schools competition.
You can view slideshows of all the pictures, or view them in videos for each school. The winning drawing will be made into a poster and displayed all around the town to encourage owners to clean up after their dogs.
Kids Can Meet Polar Online Too
You can also meet the council's star dog Polar online - she has her very own webpages for children on this site.
Go to Related Pages to find Polar's top tips for kids, poster, photo gallery, videos and lots more - including her recommended websites to learn about dogs with fun activities and interactive games.
On Polar's Pages you can read the story of how Sue rescued Polar (and Polar's version in her own words too!) and download a colourful 'I Have Met Polar' bookmark.
