Newhaven

Le Havre, France. This route is operated by LD Lines. There is one crossing daily and it is a five and-a-half hour trip.
Caen, France. This route is operated by Brittany Ferries. There are three crossings daily and it is a six hour trip.
Cherbourg, France. This route is operated by Brittany Ferries. There are four crossings weekly and it is a two hour, 45 minute trip.
Once arriving in Portsmouth you can easily travel on to Eastbourne by road, coach or rail. The main road to Eastbourne from Portsmouth is the A27.
Folkestone
Folkestone in Kent is approximately one hour, 35 minutes from Eastbourne. The Eurotunnel runs under the English Channel between Folkestone and Calais in France.
It operates a dual system of travel. Eurostar trains for foot passengers run between the two ports. You can also drive your car directly onto a train which takes you through the tunnel.
There are up to 53 crossings daily and the trip takes 35 minutes.
Once arriving in Folkestone you can easily travel on to Eastbourne by road, coach or rail. The main road to Eastbourne from Folkestone is the A259.
Dover
Dover in Kent is approximately one hour, 45 minutes from Eastbourne. The ferries arriving at Dover come from Boulogne in France and are operated by Speed Ferries. There are five crossings daily and it is a 50 minute trip.
Once arriving in Dover you can easily travel on to Eastbourne by road, coach or rail. The main road to Eastbourne from Newhaven is the A259.
