On this page you will find details of some of the activities you can do in Eastbourne, and links to useful websites with further suggestions.

Playschemes

Our Council Sports Centres hold various playschemes and activities during School holidays where children can have fun and make friends. They can take part in various activities such as:

  • Sports
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Bouncy Castles
  • Fun and games
  • Cookery
  • Dance

Our website has information about all the playschemes run by our Council Sports Centres. We also publish details of school holiday schemes when they are available.

Parks and Gardens

If the weather is on your side, a visit to one of Eastbourne's parks can be a great way to spend time with the children.

You could feed the ducks at Hampden Park, hire a pedalo on Princes Park lake, or visit one of the many play areas around the town.

All of Eastbourne's playgrounds are listed in the Parks and Gardens section of the website, with maps showing how to find them.

Swimming

Eastbourne has two main swimming pools, The Sovereign Centre and Motcombe Swimming Pool.

Motcombe Swimming Pool is situated in the Old Town in a historic Edwardian building. The Sovereign Centre, with its fun pool and wave machine, is situated on Royal Parade along the seafront.
