Saturday 23 October 2010
Beachy Head Marathon is one of the biggest in the UK and fills its 1,750 entrant capacity. It is held on the last Saturday of October with entrants all hoping that the weather stays dry!
Runners World Favourite
Held in Eastbourne, the Beachy Head Marathon is voted one of the top ten marathons in the UK by readers of Runners World magazine. It was formerly known as the Seven Sisters Marathon and is popular for its scenic and challenging route through the South Downs countryside. Great for runners, joggers or walkers looking to get fit.
Juniors Get in on the Challenge
2007 was the first year that the Beachy Head Marathon invited juniors to take part in their own South Downs Challenge, with specially planned 2 and 3km routes for children aged 8-16. The Junior challenge is being repeated for 2009.
