Bandstand on the Beach Rolls with the Stones

Bandstand on the Beach will have an extra helping of stones this Friday 25 May, as fans welcome a tribute to one of the world’s greatest rock bands.

‘Like a Rolling Stone’ will perform hits from the Rolling Stones amazing back catalogue of over 100 singles, bringing the unique energy and charisma of front man Mick Jagger, and guaranteed to have audiences on their feet.

Fans can look forward to a multitude of hits during the evening with favourites such as Jumpin Jack Flash, Brown Sugar, Ruby Tuesday, Honky Tonk Woman and (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, all faithfully delivered for fans of the band.

Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Cllr Neil Stanley said “Wild Horses won’t keep me away this Friday!  This a great evening for rock ‘n’ roll fans and sure to have audiences on their feet.  We’ve got a great line up over the coming weeks from chart toppers Take That to The Beatles and the ultimate King of Pop, Michael Jackson.”

Bandstand on the Beach also opens on 27 May for a free Sunday afternoon concert with Redhill Corps of Drums and Band.  The award winning band who have been performing for over 30 years, regularly tour overseas and are affiliated to the Royal British Legion, performing as a marching band at major UK events including the Birmingham International Tattoo.

The new beach venue includes a temporary stage next to the Bandstand with deckchair seating, a wheelchair viewing area and a bar.  On Friday night the seating area will open at 7pm with the performance starting at 8pm.  The performance on Sunday is free and begins at 3pm.

Tribute night concert tickets cost Adults £7.25, Friends of Bandstand £6.75 and Child £5.25 in advance (on the door tickets cost £1 extra), or follow us on Facebook for exclusive deals on tickets.  All other concerts throughout May and June will be free of charge from the beach, until the Bandstand reopens in July.
