Top 10 Lifestyle Travel Blog for Eastbourne

15 August, 2012

An Eastbourne Guest House has been named among MyTravelMoney.co.uk’s top 10 lifestyle and travel blogs.

The four-star, silver rated guest accommodation, The Guesthouse East, has beaten off competition from lifestyle and travel bloggers across the UK to make the travel website’s top 10.

The unique guest house blog was picked for its brilliance in writing about the beautiful continent that we live in, as well as opening people’s eyes to the sunshine coast that is Eastbourne.

Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Cllr Neil Stanley said “It is fantastic news that Eastbourne has been given a mention in MyTravelMoney.co.uk’s top lifestyle and travel blogs and brilliant that our hoteliers are so passionate about the resort. Guesthouse East’s blog makes a good, honest read, giving online visitors a realistic and insightful view into the town and the life of an Eastbourne guest house. With our growing online presence in social media through our Facebook and Twitter profiles, we want to tell people around the world what a fantastic destination Eastbourne is!”

The Guesthouse East was taken over in 2009 by Carl and Sarah Stanger who have been committed to regularly updating their blog with tales about settling into life on the Sussex coast and their guests, who never fail to surprise (and often inspire).

With Eastbourne as a destination boasting significant online presence both through its official tourism website, VisitEastbourne.com and through profiles on Twitter and Facebook, the resort is being promoted to online users across the globe.

The Guesthouse East’s blog featured in The Independent’s 50 Best B&B’s Guide last year and was also placed in the top 10 travel blogs by LastMinute.com in 2009, due to it’s personal incitements on living in the sunniest place in the UK.
