Council Statement - 31 October 2011
After a period of negotiation with the Leaseholders, Eastbourne Borough Council will take possession of the Wish Tower Restaurant on 1 November 2011.
It is anticipated that the site will require extensive investment and refurbishment prior to it being reopened. During this period, there will be no public access to the site or its facilities.
Once the restoration is underway, the Council will focus on procuring a suitable partner to run the restaurant when it reopens in the spring of 2012.
Residents can be assured that the Council remains determined to ensure local people and visitors to the town are able to enjoy a high quality establishment befitting one of the finest locations on the seafront.
