Eastbourne is getting ready for Outdoor Play Week with a series of free outside play sessions in the town’s parks and gardens next week.
The Eastbourne Play Ranger will be holding three free sessions between Saturday 5 March and Sunday 13 March at GildredgePark, HollyPlacePark and ShinewaterPark.
Children of all ages are invited to go along and make the most of the free toys, games and circus skills on offer, as part of the week long celebration of the fantastic green spaces across the south east.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Leisure, Cllr Neil Stanley said “The Eastbourne Play Ranger sessions are a great way for children and families to make the most of the outdoors and get active with a great selection of inspiring toys and games provided. With Outdoor Play Week running for seven days from this Saturday, I’d encourage as many people as possible to get out and about in Eastbourne and find their own way to enjoy the beautiful parks and gardens, South Downs countryside and glorious seafront, which are all on our doorstep.”
The Play Ranger will be at GildredgePark on Sunday 6 March from 2-4pm, at HollyPlacePark on Wednesday 9 March from 3-5pm, and at ShinewaterPark on Sunday 13th March from 2-4pm.
The sessions are free to attend, with children over eight free to come and go as they please, while children under eight must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
