5-Star Prizes to Celebrate Re-launch of VisitEastbourne.com

The UK’s sunniest place is celebrating the re-launch of its no.1 visitor website this week promising over 8 million visitors each year a slicker design, new interactive features, and 5-star giveaways.

VisitEastbourne.com is the official destination website for Eastbourne and has just undergone a significant upgrade offering online visitors an exciting new experience showcasing the best of the south coast resort.

To celebrate the revamped site going live, VisitEastbourne.com have teamed up with local accommodation to offer visitors the chance to win a break to Eastbourne, kicking off with a luxury stay at England’s only 5-star seaside hotel up for grabs!

Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Cllr Neil Stanley said “Wow, VisitEastbourne.com has been completely transformed and looks fantastic! We are very pleased with the new, contemporary design, bright colour scheme to match the Eastbourne Holiday Guide, and new features, offering online visitors a whole new experience when it comes to planning a visit to our sunny resort.

“The build of the new VisitEastbourne.com as well as the Conference website, and event sites for Airbourne, Magnificent Motors, Eastbourne Extreme and the Beer Festival, has taken a great deal of hard work and attention to detail and I hope visitors like what they see.

“I am very excited that the website has the support of our tourism partners in Eastbourne and it’s great that we can work together to offer some brilliant competitions over the next few months, including a day in Dolly the VW, stay at Lloyd’s Lodge, Brighton Rock movie goodies, and Hairspray tickets all waiting to be won during the first month of going live!”

The new website incorporates brand new imagery, multimedia functions, special offers, discount vouchers, an online shop, and offers the opportunity for local businesses to take advantage of the large traffic the website receives with new advertising spots.

In 2010, VisitEastbourne.com received over 8 million hits, a 2 million increase on 2009, reflecting the increase in visitors to Eastbourne over the past few years as the staycation took hold. Ranking no.1 in google for Eastbourne, the re-launched site will be supported by a pay per click campaign and offers low rates to advertisers wishing to promote their business via VisitEastbourne.com.

With a series of competitions coming up, including the chance to win tickets to Hairspray on at the Congress Theatre from 15 February, as well as discount vouchers for local attractions such as Lloyd’s Lanes and the Observatory Science Centre, and special offers on accommodation, from 3 nights for the price of 2, to Valentine’s deals, visitors can take advantage of everything the new site offers.
