9 February 2011 The UK’s sunniest place is getting ready for International Confex next month when Eastbourne Conference Bureau hope to continue their success at attracting major events to the town at the leading event for event organisers.
International Confex takes place at London’s Earls Court from 1-3 March and this will be the fourth year that the destination exhibits as the re-branded Eastbourne Conference Bureau, carrying through its bright, colourful branding to a funky new conference stand.
Local exhibition company, Missing Link, are providing Eastbourne with their stand, which includes a ‘Molo’ soft wall, the first of its kind in the UK; an amazing wall that curves to the shape required.
And with International Confex proving such a huge success for Eastbourne in 2010, winning the British Cheerleading Association competition for the next four years, the Bureau are hoping to make some promising new contacts next month.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Cllr Neil Stanley said “This is a very exciting time for the Eastbourne Conference Bureau with lots going on! Not only are the team getting ready for International Confex, which has a fantastic reputation within the events industry, but they are also celebrating the launch of their slick new website and conference brochure, really showing Eastbourne off as a premier business destination.
“With some great contacts made at last year’s exhibition, including a booking, which will bring 2,000 delegates to Eastbourne for the next four years, it’s a brilliant way for the team to meet conference organisers from all over the world.”
Situated on the south coast of England and the UK’s official sunniest place, Eastbourne Conference Bureau will be promoting the Devonshire Park Centre, the resort’s main conference venue facilitating up to 1,700 delegates, as well as letting visitors know about its free-venue finding service, wide range of accommodation, and vast options for delegate activities.
Visitors to the Eastbourne Conference stand will be able to browse its brand new website, ConferenceEastbourne.com, pick up a copy of the new brochure, and enter a free prize draw to win a stay at England’s only 5-star seaside hotel, The Grand, with dinner at its award-winning Mirabelle Restaurant.
International Confex visitors can find Eastbourne Conference Bureau at stand B551 and invitations have already been sent out to over 3,000 contacts enticing conference organisers to consider Eastbourne for their event.
