Eastbourne’s iconic seafront landmark is getting ready for a very special concert next weekend with Seth Lakeman, one of the country’s leading folk musicians, performing a one off gig on Sunday 28 August.
Widely regarded as the UK’s foremost folk singer songwriter, Seth Lakeman will be performing tracks from his latest studio album Hearts & Minds, as well as hits from 2008’s Top 10 critically acclaimed album Poor Man’s Heaven.
Fans can look forward to a captivating, energetic and undeniably compelling show from the award-winning Seth Lakeman and his superbly talented band – all from the unique setting of Eastbourne Bandstand.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Cllr Neil Stanley said “We are very excited to welcome the brilliantly talented Seth Lakeman to Eastbourne Bandstand for this very special concert date. Tickets have been flying out the door to fans around the UK all keen to see Seth perform at our truly unique venue. There are still a few tickets remaining and we’ll also be running a giveaway via our VisitEastbourne twitter page next week giving fans the chance to win one of the final pairs of tickets!”
With folk music currently enjoying a rise in popularity with the likes of Mumford & Sons and Laura Marling scooping prizes at the Brit Awards earlier this year, Eastbourne Bandstand is looking forward to a full house next Sunday.

Tickets for the concert are on sale now for just £15 in advance, with any remaining tickets sold on the door for £18. Doors open at 7.00pm and the concert starts at 8.00pm.
