To celebrate this week’s eagerly awaited nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Eastbourne’s newest wedding venue is offering loved up couples the chance to win their own wedding, civil ceremony or vow renewal with a difference in the UK’s sunniest place.
Eastbourne Bandstand has just become licensed for weddings and ceremonies offering couples the chance to get married at a unique historic seaside landmark. The official destination website VisitEastbourne.com is working alongside England’s only 5-star seaside hotel The Grand and Eastbourne Holiday Campers to offer one lucky couple the chance to win a wedding package unlike any other!
The chosen couple will win their wedding or ceremony at Eastbourne Bandstand with the chance to get married on stage and invite up to 600 guests. After saying their vows inside the impressive venue that boasts original 1930s architecture, the couple will spend their wedding night in luxury at the magnificent 5-star Grand Hotel before setting off on honeymoon aboard Dolly the VW Camper Van.
Eastbourne Borough Council Tourism Development Manager Annie Wills said “What a unique wedding prize this is! We are very excited that our beautiful Bandstand is now available for couples to hire for weddings and I hope this quirky prize will attract lots of entries! We are excited to be working alongside The Grand and Eastbourne Holiday Campers to run this competition and hope that the three unique aspects will really offer something different!”
Affectionately known as the ‘White Palace’ and standing in prime position on Eastbourne seafront, the newly weds will be able to make the most of the Grand’s decadent furnishings and first class service before they set off on an adventurous honeymoon!
Eastbourne Holiday Campers are offering the winning couple the chance to set off around the UK for a long weekend on board Dolly, a 21st century VW camper van. The ultimate room with a view with funky retro inspired interiors, Dolly is perfect for exploring the UK’s most beautiful beaches and stunning countryside locations aboard a fun and iconic camper.
The competition is available to enter online now or keen couples can pop their details on a postcard available from the Seafront Office next to the Bandstand. The competition will run throughout summer 2011 closing on 30 September with the winning couple able to enjoy their wedding or ceremony prize on their chosen date, subject to availability, in 2012.
