29 September 2010 A young Airbourne fan is celebrating after winning a signed copy of the latest book recording a year with the Red Arrows in a competition at the 2010 Eastbourne International Airshow.
14-year-old Ben White was presented with the book by the owner of Airbourne sponsor TravelInsured.co.uk, which was signed especially for him by all nine pilots of the world’s greatest aerobatic formation display team.
Ben, of Polegate, entered a competition sponsored by TravelInsured.co.uk, of Hastings, at Eastbourne Airbourne and was the first name pulled from the hat by SAC Kerri Tucker, one of the Red Arrows support team.
The book was especially transported to RAF Scampton to ensure all nine pilots were able to sign it before being returned so that Ian Mantel, Director of TravelInsured.co.uk could make the presentation.
“This is amazing” said Ben on receiving the prize. Ben, who continued to say that he spends a lot of time at Airbourne said “it’s great to get a book signed by all the Red Arrows”.
“We’re really pleased to be able to present this book to Ben” said Ian Mantel of TravelInsured.co.uk. “As sponsors of the Red Arrows at Airbourne we are very pleased this prize has gone to one of their fans.”
Eastbourne Airbourne is set to return to the UK’s sunniest resort next year from 11-14 August 2011. Attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors ever year, Airbourne offers sponsors the opportunity to reach a huge footfall over four days.

We are already speaking to the company about the potential for next year’s airshow and hope to maintain this relationship over coming years.”
