An initial informal meeting was held in the Mayor’s Parlour to highlight the need for a local support network for women, of all ages, who have family or loved ones who are either current serving or past serving military personnel, from all war zones.
Carolyn Heaps, the Mayor, would love to invite everyone who feels that they may fall into this category, whatever age, to meet up at Towner Gallery for drinks and nibbles on Sunday 7 November at 5.30pm. They would also be very welcome to join the Mayor as her special guests at the Eastbourne Combined Ex-Services Association’s Festival of Remembrance, to be held at the Congress Theatre on the same evening, Sunday 7 November, at 7.30pm.
