Beer Fest Tickets on Sale Now

Eastbourne Beer Festival
18 May 2010

Enjoying sell-out success in 2009, tickets for one of the south east’s biggest real ale festivals are on sale now with beer lovers encouraged to book early for the three-day Eastbourne event returning in October, including a 2 for 1 special offer for Thursday night.

After popular demand from visitors, tickets for the eighth annual Eastbourne Beer Festival are on sale nearly two months earlier than usual with festival fans desperate to book their tickets and guarantee their place at this year’s event.

Returning from 7-9 October 2010, Eastbourne Beer Festival is set to pack the Winter Gardens offering over 100 real ales, bottled beers from around the world, a top selection of local wines, ciders and perries plus plenty of live entertainment.

An Eastbourne Borough Council spokesperson said “We are very excited to launch ticket sales earlier than ever this year and give festival fans an early opportunity to book their place at the 2010 event. The Beer Festival has become a firm favourite in the Eastbourne events diary and after several years of sell-out sessions, I’m sure we are in for another busy year with festival goers keen to taste the hundreds of beers and ales on offer!”

The Eastbourne Beer Festival menu contains over 100 real ales from around the world and promises unusually named brews such as Frog Island Croak and Stagger, Legless Rambler, Fruit Bat, Brahma Crop and Mac’s Gold.

With last year’s event requiring extra casks of ales, ciders and parries to be drafted in at the last minute to meet the festival demand, visitors consumed 13,000 pints of beer, 1,400 pints of cider and perry, 2,100 bottled beers and over 1,400 glasses of wine over the four sessions.

Tickets for the Friday and Saturday night sessions sold out before doors even opened last year with more than 4,100 festival goers packing into the Winter Garden, and organisers Eastbourne Borough Council and CAMRA are hoping for another successful year in 2010.

With pub grub on the menu throughout the event plus entertainment including live music, traditional pub games and a family quiz, there will be plenty to keep festival fans busy this autumn.

Tickets start at just £4.50 with Thursday night festival goers grabbing theirs for just £2.25 with the 2 for 1 offer. To book tickets online visit the VisitEastbourne website or telephone the Box Office on 01323 412000 to book over the phone.
