Never Forget at Eastbourne Bandstand

Eastbourne Bandstand at night
20 July 2010

With Robbie Williams announcing last week that he is to rejoin Take That, visitors to Eastbourne Bandstand can look forward to some of the group’s most popular hits this Friday as The Greatest Take That Tribute come to town.

Heralded as the best Take That tribute act in the country, audiences can look forward to a spectacular concert this Friday night with performances based on the group’s recent sell-out tours. With tribute nights already selling out in 2010 and packing the Bandstand arena, Take That fans are being encouraged to book quickly and guarantee their place at this week’s concert.

Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Cllr Neil Stanley said “We have enjoyed some fantastic tribute nights at the Bandstand already this season and this week’s promises another brilliant evening with Take That’s career going from strength to strength. With the new Kids Summertime Special concerts on their way next week offering family entertainment every Tuesday plus a very special Birthday concert on Wednesday, the Bandstand’s concert programme is in full swing and there’s plenty to look forward to over the next few weeks.”

Next Tuesday 27 July, Eastbourne Bandstand is introducing a brand new concert to the 2010 calendar with the Kids Summertime Specials bursting into life on the Bandstand stage. Promising hits from some of the children’s favourite movies such as High School Musical, Hannah Montana and Mamma Mia, families can look forward to a concert every Tuesday during the school holidays with free face painting for the kids too!

There is a very special Birthday concert on its way at the Bandstand next week too, with The Band of the Guards Association performing two Birthday concerts on Wednesday 28 July celebrating 75 years since the first ever concerts were performed. Audiences can look forward to a nostalgic 1930s programme in the afternoon followed by a spectacular 1812 Firework Concert in the evening culminating in a dazzling pyrotechnic display.

Tickets to all concerts are available in advance on 01323 410611, from the Seafront Office next to the Bandstand, or online from the Bandstand website.
