THE Mayor and Mayoress of Eastbourne, Greg and Clare Szanto, have a busy agenda ahead in supporting their current chosen charity, Eastbourne and South Wealden MS Society.
The MAYOR'S BALL takes place at the Winter Garden on Friday, March 5, and tickets are now on sale at £35. Individuals and couples are welcome, or you can book a table of eight.
The black tie event is at 6.30 for 7, and as well as a three-course meal there will be a top class band, other entertainment, and a tombola.
Two days after the ball, Eastbourne Half Marathon takes place, and recruitment is taking place for a Mayor's Charity Team.
Team members will be provided with an MS Society tee shirt and will be invited to raise as much as possible for the charity through sponsorship. Plans are also advancing for the Mayor's Charity Golf Day at the Royal Eastbourne Golf Club on Thursday, April 22. Twenty six teams of four will compete and the cost per player is £35 for REGC members, £50 for non-members. The charge includes 18 holes and a post-tournament carvery dinner.
