Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Cllr Susan Morris said “Eastbourne is definitely making the most of the power of social networking and using this as a fantastic tool to promote the resort to thousands of people all over the world. Sites such as Facebook and Twitter are a brilliant way for us to raise awareness of what’s going on in Eastbourne and encourage even more visitors to the resort.”
Eastbourne’s presence on Twitter is going from strength to strength too with the town’s official Twitter profile attracting more than 460 followers, including rival tourist resorts and travel writers.
The profiles on Facebook and Twitter both contain links back to VisitEastbourne.com, allowing fans, friends and followers to access the one stop portal for anyone interested in visiting the resort.
