Eastbourne’s first dog show takes place on Saturday 7 August 2010 at Eastbourne Rugby Club, Park Avenue, Hampden Park with fun for all the family and promoting responsible dog ownership.
Dogs will be able to be entered for each catogory from 11am on the day at a cost of £1 per dog per class, with all money raised going to the PDSA and Basil Fund Supporting local abandoned dogs.
Eastbourne borough Councillior Mike Thompson said, “as a dog owner I am so pleased that this initiative is going ahead, I consider our contribution to the event is money well spent in bringing about a community event which will give a lot of pleasure to so many people and will help educate people in responsible dog ownership.”
The day will start at 11am and will culminate with the judging of the dog show.

Councillors from Hampden Park have used ward budget money to help fund the event by giving £300 to help pay for leaflets, rosettes and dog bags.
