Have your Say

24 September 2008
Thousands of Eastbourne residents will have the chance to have their say about public services and quality of life in their local area.

As part of a national project, 3,200 residents in Eastbourne will be randomly selected to receive a copy of “The Place Survey” between the end of September and early December 2008.

Councillor David Tutt, Leader of the Council said, “By filling in the survey, local residents will help both the Borough and County Council to understand the issues that are most important to them.”

Those chosen to take part in the postal survey will be able to give their views about the services they receive from a range of agencies and organisations in their area. The opinions received will be used by local authorities and agencies to help direct resources to the services that really matter.

Eastbourne Borough Council has joined with the County Council and all the District and Borough authorities in East Sussex to appoint Ipsos Mori to manage the survey.

By working together in this way, the Council’s have managed to save money and resources while delivering the surveys in the most efficient way.

If you do receive a survey, please complete and return it using the freepost envelope provided as we are required by law to send out further reminders if we do not receive a response.

Any information that is provided including personal information will be treated in the strictest confidence and responses will only be used to monitor the performance of public services.
