The first of a series of Scooterbility workshops aimed at responsible motorised scooter/buggy usage is rapidly approaching. Organised by the Disability Involvement Group (DIG) the workshops begin on 1 July, 10.30am – 12noon at the Devonshire Halls, Winter Garden. So if you are thinking of using a ‘Scooter’ for the first time and you are not really sure how you will get on, come along and try one out safely. You can also pick up information about insurance, safety, security, legalities and maintenance and if that isn’t enough it will also be a great opportunity to meet others and have a chat.
Other workshops are being held on Tuesday 26 August in the Devonshire Halls at the Winter Garden (10.30am to 12noon) and Tuesday 22 July and Friday 26 September at Willingdon Trees Community Centre (2.30pm to 4pm).
