A Toast to Eastbourne’s Conference and Business Services

Guests can make a toast next week to the wide selection of conference and business facilities available in Eastbourne, as Cooden Cellars offer a free wine tasting session at the Conference Bureau’s first garden party.

Past clients and new businesses have been invited to an open day at the International Lawn Tennis Centre (ILTC) on 1 July, where they’ll be able to enjoy an evening wine tasting class courtesy of Cooden Cellars. One of many activities taking place throughout the day, guests will also be able to meet the conference team, network with event service suppliers, and enjoy nibbles, refreshments and live entertainment, showing the versatility of Eastbourne’s world class sporting venue.

Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Cllr Steve Wallis said “This is the first open day the Conference Bureau have held and presents an excellent opportunity to meet the team and have a good look around the venues available at the Devonshire Park Centre. With various activities taking place, guests can enjoy themselves while also finding out about the wide range of business facilities that Eastbourne offers.”

The Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club will also be providing inspiration for after work activity and away days with demonstrations on the famous Devonshire Park centre court. Anyone taking out membership on the day will receive a half price offer for the rest of the season. With pay on the day options also available, the high calibre international grass courts provide a fantastic setting for taking some time out.

More than 2,500 invitations have been sent out to companies up and down the UK, inviting them to the garden party at the ILTC, with the Conference Bureau ready to showcase the conference venues, facilities and services available in Eastbourne.

A first class venue, the ILTC is a versatile space and plays host to top international tennis players at the International Women’s Open each June. With Nadia Petrova and Amelie Mauresmo recent visitors, the ILTC is popular with event organisers, adding to facilities in the Devonshire Park Centre and providing extra breakout space and meeting rooms.

With AVT, X-hibit, Eastprint, Candlewick Services, HT Whites and Convex Leisure already confirmed to exhibit at the garden party next week, conference organisers will have every service they need on hand ready to think about planning their event in Eastbourne.

Live music will also keep guests entertained all day long, as the Eastbourne Scottish Pipe Band, Neal Richardson Jazz Quartet and Joel White provide the musical line-up.

Open from 11am – 8pm, the garden party is open to everyone interested in exploring the resort’s main conference venue for themselves and guests can drop in any time.
