Tickets For Eastbourne Tennis Selling Faster Than Ever

Eastbourne International Women's Open
International Women's Open
Issued by the Lawn Tennis Association on 14 March 2007

Tickets are selling faster than ever for this year’s International Women’s Open in Eastbourne.

More than 10,000 tickets have already been sold for the prestigious event - Britain’s biggest women’s tennis tournament.

This is a 17 ½% per cent rise on this time last year and means the tournament which is held from Saturday June 16 to Saturday June 23 will be bigger and better than ever.

Tournament Director Gavin Fletcher said: “This year’s new look Open will be filled with a number of exciting new attractions to complement the thrill of watching the world’s best female tennis players.”

Last year the tournament, which is held at Eastbourne’s famous Devonshire Park grounds, saw the likes of Justine Henin-Hardenne compete against Kim Clijsters and Amelie Mauresmo.

This year there are even more reasons to buy tickets with a glamorous Ladies Day planned on Tuesday June 19 as well as kid’s tennis coaching on the beach during the week.

Prices for adult tickets range from £16 to £29. There are concessionary prices for children under 16 and groups of 8 or over.

Tickets are available from the Championship box office on 01323 412000. For more information visit http://eastbourne.lta.org.uk/
