If you want the chance to own a Formula 1 t-shirt and cap signed by the successful F1 Team of Alonso, Fisichella and Kovalainen and lots more Formula 1 racing memorabilia, kindly donated by Renault UK Ltd, then buy a ticket to the Mayor’s Charity Ball on Friday 23 March.
 
The Worshipful, the Mayor of Eastbourne, Councillor Colin Belsey, says, “These are just a few of the brilliant raffle and auction prizes that have been kindly given to me and which will be on offer at the Winter Garden.  Every penny raised will go to my chosen charity – the Eastbourne Lifeboats - so please join me at the Ball and support this very worthwhile organisation.”
 
Other Auction and Raffle Prizes on offer are:
  • First Editions signed by Alan Titchmarsh, Jeffrey Archer, Richard Belfield, Peter James and Geraldine McCaughrean as the Silent Auction prizes, kindly donated by Gardner Books.
  • A signed England football shirt.
  • A fabulous framed photograph of Sovereign Harbour taken by Gareth Connolly during the storm in July 2006 will be auctioned.
  • Other items to be auctioned will be a tennis racket signed by Andy Murray, tea for two at the House of Commons, the use of a Jaguar car for a weekend, an off-road driving experience for two at Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands, Surrey and one year’s coaching for a child within the Global Tennis Academy (worth approx £500)
  • Amongst hundreds of prizes to be raffled are an acoustic guitar from Bonners, meals for two at The Cumberland, Chatsworth and Hydro hotels, a meal for four at Sussex Downs College, and a month’s family membership to the David Lloyd Club.
