Eastbourne Council Prepares For Postal Strikes
Eastbourne Borough Council would like to remind residents about alternative methods of communicating during the planned postal strikes by Royal Mail staff on 29 June and 13th July.
The alternative methods of communicating with the Council during the postal strikes include:
- All council services can be accessed via the internet where residents can email Council Officers or Councillors instead of using the postal system.
- Customers can telephone the Council, but should try wherever possible to avoid first thing in the morning and around lunch time as they are the busiest times of the day.
- Customers can call in to the Customer Contact Centre at 1 Grove Road to pay bills, meet members of staff and hand over documents that would normally be posted.
- Customers collecting Housing Benefit cheques from the CCC will need to have proof of identity.
Residents who send the Council cheques can drop them into the Customer Contact Centre, 1 Grove Road or contact us to set up a Direct Debit to prevent any delay in payments.
