More than £600 has already been donated in support of the Mayoress’s charity parachute jump. On Sunday 18 February the Mayoress of Eastbourne Anna Belsey will be strapped to a professional skydiver and jump out of an aeroplane (weather permitting) over Weston, near Bicester in Oxfordshire.
Anna Belsey says, “So far £600 is great but I’m hoping to raise even more. The jump is on Sunday and there are still a lot of people who haven’t sponsored me yet. As a seaside town resident I feel the R.N.L.I do not get half the support they deserve for the job that they do. So please support this worthy cause.”
The charity jump is just one of many activities the Mayoress has been involved with during her year to help raise money for the Mayor’s charity.
The Eastbourne RNLI is the chosen charity for this Mayoral year and the Mayoress has already raised over £600 for them from her Halloween event.
Local firm CMS GB Limited, have kindly sponsored the cost of the Mayoress’s jump so all monies raised will go to the Mayor’s charity.
Donations in support of the Mayoress’s charity parachute jump can be sent to the Mayor’s Office at the Town Hall, Grove Road, Eastbourne or left at the reception desk (cheques payable to: The Mayor of Eastbourne's Charity).
