French Market is Back by Popular Demand
The popular French Market returns to Eastbourne’s seafront for three days from Friday 31 to Sunday 2 September, with 30 stalls of authentic goods and fresh produce.
Displaying along the middle promenade between the Pier and the Bandstand, the market proved a big hit with seafront shoppers in May and returns with an array of French cheeses, sausages, olives, fresh baked baguettes, pancakes and delicious fudge.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Economy, Tourism & Environment, Councillor Steve Wallis said "The French Market is an alternative way to do your weekly shop. As well as stocking up on fresh produce, why not pick up some gifts and practice your French at the same time!"
Shoppers can browse a variety of gifts including African art, clay cookware, pashmina’s, jewellery, natural soaps, wickerwork and leather goods.
Open from 9.00am until 5.30pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Sunday, the market promises to bring a truly Gallic feel to Eastbourne seafront.
