Extreme Sports Fun For Kids at Airbourne

Youngsters can get in on the action at Airbourne, Eastbourne’s International Airshow, by trying out a whole host of exciting urban sport activities with top tips and coaching from the experts. This is all thanks to Dairylea, who have teamed up with urban sports stars Team Extreme to bring you the Dairylea Freestyle Action Tour.

Airbourne is one of only seven venues on the Dairylea Freestyle Action Tour, and at the Dairylea Freestyle Action Arena, Team Extreme will be showing 5-13 year olds how to improve their BMX, skateboard, inline skating, basketball, pogo and dance skills. And you can also watch the pros in action when they perform stunning, world class demos for adults and children alike.

Whether your kids want to become a basketball legend, skateboard champion or BMX hero – there’s something for everyone. Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Economy, Tourism & Environment, Councillor Steve Wallis said “This gives youngsters the chance to join in the excitement of Airbourne and learn from the pros. And it shows there’s plenty going on at ground level as well as the breath-taking flying displays.”

As part of a balanced diet, Dairylea can provide kids under ten with one third of their recommended daily intake of calcium and vitamin D. The vitamin D actually helps their bodies to absorb the calcium – which means they’re getting the most out of what they eat. The combination of calcium, vitamin D and exercise is the key to healthy bones – that’s why this summer, Dairylea is giving us all three!

So whether your kids want to stand back and watch the pros perform their incredible skills or to get in there and get involved, this event will certainly get them off the sofa - and show them what’s possible with a bit of determination, hard work and strong bones. For an outstanding experience that’s guaranteed to get them active and into sport, catch up with the Dairylea Freestyle Action Arena and Team Extreme at Airbourne this August.

Airbourne is attracting many big names to this year’s show, including Nintendo DS who will be bringing gaming pods with free plays on ‘More Brain Training’ as part of their national Brain Age Challenge Tour.  Children's entertainment areas and a funfair also return to the show providing all day fun on the ground.

Airbourne, the world’s biggest free seafront airshow, takes place from the 16th-19th August. The Dairylea Freestyle Action Arena will be on the Western Lawns from 10am-6pm every day and entry is free.
