A Feast of an Opportunity for Local Businesses

Culinary Arts Studio
Wednesday 18 April 2007

Following on from the success of last year’s Feastbourne, organisers are calling on all local businesses with a passion for cuisine to get involved in what looks set to be an even bigger and better event this year.

Event organisers, Eastbourne Borough Council, are holding a meeting for all Sussex businesses from the hospitality sector including publicans and restaurateurs to give them a taste of the forthcoming plans for this delectable food and drink festival which will run for 10 days from 4 – 14 October.

Eastbourne Borough Council Director of Tourism, Economy & Environment, Norman Kinnish, adds “It is a delight to be holding this event in Eastbourne for the second year.  It is a fantastic opportunity for businesses including local restaurants, pubs, hotels, retailers and farmers to showcase their produce.  With increased awareness we hope to attract even more businesses this year.”

Last year’s Feastbourne was a veritable feast of delights featuring top wine experts, a master chocolatier, wine tasting, cookery master classes and competitions a plenty attracting a variety of connoisseurs. Cooden Cellars were one of a number of sponsors at last years’ event and will sponsoring Feastbourne again for the second year.

With plans in place and involvement from local businesses this will create the perfect blend of ingredients for a truly successful event.  Anyone interested should attend the public showcase on 30 April from 2-4pm at the Sovereign Yacht Club.
