Eastbourne Borough Council has secured the future of the ever popular Spray Water Centre, near Fisherman’s Green, not only by granting the centre a new 35 year licence on the land but also agreeing to a new building on the site for their many activities.
Eastbourne Borough Council’s cabinet spokesperson for Environment, Tourism & Economy, Councillor David Elkin, says, “This is such good news for Spray Water Centre which teaches both children from many local schools, and special needs adults, sea awareness whilst learning new activities such as windsurfing and sailing.”
The building of the new centre, which is due to start at the end of this year and will take six months to construct, will provide much improved facilities including wheelchair access and storage space.
