The Eastbourne Construction Partnership, Chaired by Economic Development, hosted an event called ‘Building Blocks to Eastbourne’s Success’ aimed at raising awareness on the forthcoming construction work and what free help is available to construction related companies.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Spokesperson for Environment, Tourism and Economy, Councillor David Elkin says, “We are extremely pleased with the responses from the business community who attended this event. We are sure they benefited from the presentation made and the information given will stand them in good stead for future challenges.”
On Monday the 9th of October at 4.30pm over 100 delegates attended four presentations and networking opportunities.
Feedback was encouraging with strong support for the project. Stand holders also found success:
Buy with Confidence had two possible new members
A new product called PoCKet found a manufacturer
Six more companies signed up to ProfitNet to increase learning through networks
The Education Business Partnership found 1 company to sit on a project board to discuss what construction businesses really need in the new curriculum – Specialist Diplomas.
