Following a recent report from the Airbourne Task Group, which included Councillor Slater and Councillor Belsey, Eastbourne Borough Council has agreed to continue running this prestigious event.
The Group agreed that the new rail link between Eastbourne and Ashford would attract more overseas visitors to this major airshow. Following Airbourne more than 200 members of the general public responded to a questionnaire on the Council’s website which provided value feedback for the organisers.
Eastbourne Borough Council’s cabinet spokesperson for Environment, Tourism & Economy, Councillor David Elkin, says, “Airbourne is a positive benefit not only to Eastbourne but also the South East region.”
