Eastbourne Borough Council has appointed two Councillors to two new positions, one to the Cabinet and the other as a Disability Champion. Councillor Warner has started work with Cabinet and will hold the portfolio of Planning & Economic Regeneration. Councillor Patrick Bowker has become the Council’s Disability Champion.
Leader of Eastbourne Borough Council, Councillor Ian Lucas says, “We have such a hard working team, it’s a real pleasure to be able to recognise the strength we have in depth, by promoting Patrick to the Cabinet.”
Councillor Patrick Warner will join the Leader and three other members of cabinet until the full Council elections next May.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Spokesperson for Planning and Economic Regeneration, Councillor Patrick Warner says, “I feel honoured to have been asked to work with such a talented Cabinet Team and am really excited to be working in these two key areas which are so vital to the future direction of our wonderful town.”
Councillor Bowker as Disability Champion will work with various groups in Eastbourne who look at access issues. He says, “I’m delighted to take this position as disability champion. I will be the first point of call on these issues, and will have a direct link to cabinet for my bi-monthly report on issues of concern to such an important part of the Eastbourne community.”
