Tube Passengers Guess Where in the World...

Where in the world
Tube passengers are set for a geography challenge next week, as a new advertising campaign using striking and exotic images, poses the question ‘Where in the world….’

Passengers thinking faraway shores could be in for a surprise however, as the campaign which includes palm trees, golden skies and majestic domes, finally reveals that the mysterious sun drenched location is none other than the award winning resort of Eastbourne.

Leader of Eastbourne Borough Council, Councillor Ian Lucas said “These images really were taken here on Eastbourne seafront.  Eastbourne’s more exotic and glamorous side is perhaps one of our best kept secrets, one that many people wouldn’t expect.  Palm tree lined promenades, opulent architecture and a glorious sunshine record, along with international cuisine and al fresco dining, means you almost feel like you are abroad, but without the hassle of long crowded flights and airport delays.”

London Underground passengers will see the teaser campaigns on escalator panels and on 48 sheet cross track posters sites from Monday 19 June, in high profile tourist and business locations such as Victoria, Kings Cross and London Bridge.

The new campaign will also be seen by the thousands of tennis fans heading to Eastbourne next week for the Hastings Direct International Championships, at which it is hoped Eastbourne may be celebrating another awards win, having reached the finals in three categories at this Friday’s Group Travel Awards in London.
