Continuing the packed concert season at Eastbourne Bandstand this summer, fever will be spreading through the night as a tribute to the Bee Gees heads down to Eastbourne on Friday July 7 for an evening of Jive Talkin’.
The legendary high pitched sounds of the three famous Gibb brothers will be recreated for the night with all the classic tunes including Stayin’ Alive, How Deep Is Your Love and Massachusetts, plus other hit songs covered in recent years by the likes of Take That, Boyzone, Steps and most recently ex Atomic Kitten, Liz McClaron.
Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Councillor David Elkin, says, “The Bee Gees are one of the most successful musical acts of all time, and it is a pleasure to have such tributes to this band, and other great acts, on Eastbourne’s finest outdoor stage.”
The first week of July will begin with a Saturday Rock n Roll Night, starring E.G. Riley’s Rocking Soul, followed by the Sunday evening Proms Concert led by Kent Police Band. A Brass band will feature at the weekly 1812 Firework Concert on Wednesday 5 July and High Society will play the Big Band Night on Thursday. Doors to all concerts will be open at 7pm, with shows commencing at 8pm.
Themed evenings will take place throughout the summer on a weekly basis. To book tickets in advance at a reduced rate please call the Box Office on 01323 412000, or for further concert details join ‘Friends of Eastbourne Bandstand’ absolutely free, just visit
