Residents are being urged to have their say on the proposed parking changes for Eastbourne. The current consultation is being carried out by Eastbourne Borough Council and East Sussex County Council and changes will not be set in stone until people’s views are heard.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Spokesperson for Economy, Tourism and Environment Councillor David Elkin says, “I urge all residents, whether they live in the consultation area or not, to let us have their views. The consultation information is freely available online and at the exhibitions (listed below). Residents should be assured this is consultation and it will be listened to.”
The consultation will take into consideration residents’ views on whether the zones are right or wrong, and if the area is too big or too small. People’s views do matter and anything can be changed. The consultation finishes on 10 March and the results will be made public in June.
