The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), Eastbourne Association of Voluntary Services (EAVS) and 26 other voluntary groups will receive a total £191,696 in grants from Eastbourne Borough Council.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Spokesperson for Housing, Health and Community Services Councillor Sandie Howlett says, “The Council is keen to help local organisations in any way it can. In giving these grants they will be able to continue providing a vital service to the residents of Eastbourne.”
Three year funding was agreed for the CAB and EAVS last year enabling them to plan ahead and claim funding from other places. Many groups which meet certain criteria have been able to apply for funding from both the Council and European Social Fund Global Grants Scheme.
The Eastbourne Cultural Communities Network are receiving joint funding from the Council and the Global Grants which will help them in promoting, protecting and representing cultural groups in the town.
