There are many ways residents and visitors can obtain information about Eastbourne Borough Council during its festive shutdown. The three main Council buildings will close their doors at 3pm on Friday 22 December and will reopen at 9am on Tuesday 2 January 2007.
Leader of Eastbourne Borough Council, Councillor Ian Lucas says, “I would like to take this opportunity to wish all residents and visitors a very happy and peaceful Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Although all Council offices will be closed during the festive season, it will be possible to contact essential services in an emergency. I would also like to thank all Council staff for their hard work and dedication throughout 2006.”
Theatre box offices, sports centres and the cemeteries and crematorium will be open on specific days and times throughout the holiday period, and it is advisable to check the details prior to visiting the facility.
All out of hours services will remain in place over the holiday period.
