Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Spokesperson for Housing, Health and Community Services Councillor Sandie Howlett said, “The Community activity spaces within the Cultural Centre will be available for hire, and as such can be used for a range of activities, including music.
The Cultural Centre staff will not be presenting a specific programme of music, as they are art gallery specialists. However, there is no reason at all why musical activities cannot be accommodated in the community activity spaces. This position is unchanged from the Towner Art Gallery, where musical events were normally organised by the ‘Friends’ or other local groups.”
