Eastbourne is currently undergoing a beach makeover as new riviera blue sun loungers line up on the resorts Blue Flag beaches.
Located on beaches next to the bandstand, the new loungers come equipped with giant parasols and are proving so popular with Eastbourne’s growing family audience that Eastbourne Borough Council have now doubled the number on offer.
Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Councillor David Elkin said “Deckchairs are still very popular, however with more families and younger couples enjoying our palm tree-lined promenades, blue flag beaches and the best sunshine record in the UK, many of our visitors want to relax on the beach in comfort and enjoy a bit of luxury.”
The new sun loungers cost £5.00 per day and have been selling out on a regular basis, however deckchairs are still in high demand with new mini deckchairs on offer for children and romantic double deckers for couples.
