A Happy Hour will start at an Eastbourne Sports Centre allowing users cheap use of the sports facilities for £1 for the hour. The £1 price tab will allow local youngsters to use the Hampden Park Sports Centre between 3.30pm and 4.30pm during the school holidays.
Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Spokesperson for Housing, Health and Community Services Councillor Sandie Howlett says, “This is excellent news. This initiative has come about following a visit to Eastbourne Technology College, where students told the leader of the council there is not enough to do after school.”
The new ‘happy hour’ at the centre will allow youngsters to play Football, Basketball, Badminton, Tennis, Squash and Cricket (subject to availability). For more information contact the centre direct on 509859.
