The popular French Market will return to Eastbourne’s promenade for three days on Friday 1 to Sunday 3 September, giving visitors an extra day of shopping compared to previous visits.
The Market will set up on the middle promenade between the Pier and the Bandstand with over 30 stalls. A tempting selection of jams, speciality wines and crepes will be on offer for food lovers, alongside Provencal tablecloths, wicker ware, and jewellery. Visitors can practice French with friendly stallholders, or simply enjoy the Ambiance Française.
An Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson says, “The market is a keenly anticipated late summer event in the resort with the chance to choose from a wide variety of cosmopolitan goods. Many visitors to the market enjoy the authentic French produce, including cheeses, freshly baked bread and speciality chocolate. There is also a range of gifts, from leather goods to French African art. The market is perfect for residents and visitors to purchase gifts and even do some of that early Christmas shopping.”
Open from 9.00am until 5.30pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Sunday, the market promises to bring a true Gallic feel to Eastbourne seafront.
