Eastbourne’s Bandstand will be bursting over the bank holiday weekend with six band performances, including the Shadows tribute band Lost 4 Words.
Presenting Sounds of the Shadows the popular five piece band will keep “Friday on your Mind” over this “Summer Holiday” and are sure to leave you “Feeling Fine” right through to “Midnight”.
Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Councillor David Elkin, says, “Tribute bands have been a weekly highlight at the bandstand, with so many popular guests. The shows have made the bandstand accessible to all music lovers, whatever their taste. Having the Jail Breakers and the Shadows tribute band on the seafront in the same week is a true holiday treat.”
The week kicks off with Gilbert and Sullivan evening on Monday and the popular 1812 night on Wednesday will be presented by the Sussex Brass, with a firework finale. Thursday is Big Band night once again when the Johnny Spice Swing Orchestra will be in town to get you swinging. The Jail Breakers perform on Saturday 26 at the Rock N Roll night, taking a whole generation back to their roots.
The bank holiday will feature lots of flag waving at a rousing Proms Concert with Wealden Brass on Sunday and will draw to a close on Monday 28 with a concert from Lewes, Glynde and Beddingham Brass.
