Council tax is your contribution to the many services the Council provides, such as:

  • providing housing

  • funds for the police service, schools and other services which are run by East Sussex County Council.

 

Council Tax is charged on properties that are used for domestic and residential purposes which do not include business use. It applies whether you own your home or rent it.
