Pay Your Council Tax by Direct Debit

Most people in Eastbourne pay their Council Tax by Direct Debit. This is the preferred method and is simple to set up and saves you considerable time and effort each month.

 If your bill shows that you are already paying this way, you need take no further action.

Payment Dates

The Council now offers four payment dates if you pay by this method - 1st, 7th, 15, 25th day of each month.

Setting up a Direct Debit

If you wish to start paying by Direct Debit, you can:

• download a Direct Debit Mandate Form from this page

• or complete the instruction which is enclosed with your bill

Return it to: Council Tax at 1 Grove Road, Eastbourne, BN21 4TW.

What Happens Next?

When we received your completed Direct debit Mandate form we will send you a new council tax bill to confirm the instalment amounts and dates on which we will request money from your bank account.

Renewals

There is no need to renew your Direct Debit at the end of each year. It will automatically be transferred to the following year.
