Financial Services

Financial Services is responsible for providing a wide range of services. The Service Area comprises of:

• Financial Management, including accountancy and audit.

  This service is managed by the statutory Chief Financial Officer (Section 151 Officer) and reports to the Chief Executive.

The following services report to other Service Areas but work closely with Financial Services:

• Benefits

• Counter Fraud and Interventions

• Local Taxation

The Department is responsible for the statutory Chief Finance Officer function (Section 151 Local Government Act 1972).
