- How Stuff Works - a slightly more technical guide that actually describes how the Internet, and other 'stuff', works!
- Useit.com - the website of one of the world's foremost experts, Jakob Nielsen on keeping the Web easy to use.
- WebMonkey - this site from Lycos is for web developers from beginners to professionals. It has all sorts of guides, advice sheets and codes. It has a special area for kids too.
- World Wide Web Consortium - not for the beginner, this is the world's leading body for the development of the Web, led by the Web's creator, Tim Berners Lee.
