Eastbourne Borough Council are now using social networking sites to improve our engagement with the local community and find new ways to communicate with residents, businesses and visitors.

Twitter is a free social networking site that allows users to post and share short text messages of information, up to 140 characters in length, known as 'tweets'. Users can re-tweet messages posted by other users, which produces a viral way of sharing news and updates.

Eastbourne Borough Council are using Twitter to promote Council services, with specific Twitter profiles also set up for the Council's tourism department, Towner Art Gallery and Redoubt Fortress.
